Portland Academy, IPACA, Portland

Refurbishment/restoration of the Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy at Southwell Business Park.

The project consists of the redevelopment of the redundant building into a teaching academy. The building will be refurbished, extended and sections renewed to ensure a larger more practical use for the end user. The school will provide teaching facilities for students from the age of 4 – 19. The building will offer open modern teaching space, theatre, swimming pool, music/ art/ drama studio and a professional kitchen.


Chesil House Student Accommodation, 1 Madeira Road, Bournemouth

210 bed student accommodation block with associated communal facilities and retail units at ground level, situated in Bournemouth Town Centre.

The work includes the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services installation in the new 6 storey Student Accommodation building.

The work also includes the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Solar PV installation.

Rentec Limited is a Mechanical and Electrical Contracting company, specializing in Renewable Technologies.  The building is a 806m² industrial unit situated in Poole, Dorset. We believe that solar PV will help greatly in our endeavours to substantially reduce our carbon emissions and enable us to become more self sufficient in terms of electricity production.

The installation is a 115 No panel, 29.28kW Solar Photovoltaic system using 250W and 260W Znshine monocrystalline panels mounted on a Renusol MetaSol mounting system fixed to a metal trapezoidal roof, and SMA Sunnyboy Inverters.  An SMA GA-500 Large Display is displayed in Reception which shows a summary of the energy being produced and the CO² being saved.

Henry Ling Limited is a leading manufacturer of journals and books.  It is a family owned and managed private limited company which employs 120 people. 

The installation consists of 270 No. 245Wp Sanyo HIT Photovoltaic modules mounted on a Renusol Intersole mounting system, connected via a Fronius CL 60 inverter, which is mounted on the south wall of the mezzanine printing area.  The PV modules are configured as 27 strings of 10 panels connected to a String Controller.  Monitoring is provided by a Fronius Datalogger Web.
