Portsmouth Cruise Terminal appeals to the small to medium sized, boutique, luxury and expedition cruise and ferry market, and the new terminal has been designed to reflect this experience throughout. The new terminal is connected to the existing terminal by a sky walk and features an exclusive cruise lounge, baggage hall, interior living walls and a sky garden where passengers can enjoy the views of the port. With the new terminal, the port can accommodate a further 250,000 passengers per year.

Rentec provided a full mechanical, electrical and renewable service for this project. Mechanically we provided Mains and Domestic Water, LTHW Heating, Chilled Water System, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems, Sanitaryware, Above Ground Drainage, a full Ventilation System with Windcatchers on the roof, Dry Riser & Fire Hydrants, Thermal Insulation and a Building Management Systems, as well as a Salt-Water Abstraction and Discharge System in the dedicated Sea Water Plantroom. Electrically we provided services including Electrical Power & Distribution, Internal, External and Emergency Lighting and Lighting Controls, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Induction Loop, Disabled Refuge and WC Alarms, CCTV, Data & Fibre Optic, PA/VA System, Lightning Protection and a full Solar Photovoltaic System on the roof with 292 panels.
